Two Years ago I decided to hold a small event at The Rutland Hotel to help raise funds for Macmillan Nurses, as i had just lost both my parents to cancer and felt it was a nice way to say thank you for their care and support, we decided to fit the event into our salons theme and called it The New You Event 2006, with all the stalls aimed at things of interest to women. After lots of sleepless nights and being stressed 24/7 we managed to arrange a fantastic day with over 200 women attending. We raised just over £3000.00 for charity so all in all I achieved my goal. But made a promise to myself that i would NEVER EVER DO ANOTHER !!!!

Anyway two years on and a memory lapse later I was talked into doing another . . . Hence The New You Event 2008!

I would like to say a big thank you to my mate ruth who with her that first event would not have been possible!!

Anyway not to do things by halves we decided to do this one bigger and better and decided to throw a fashion show into the mix!

FABLE is our salons chosen charity to support, a fantastic job is done by their team. Sandra Howard FABLES founder has dedicated her life to helping others suffering from epilepsy. At The Works we think she does a fantastic job and so this year we have decided to raise funds to help support a very deserving charity.

So the long and short of it is . . Lindsay, Sandra and Sarah have got together and hopefully we will come up with an event to remember and raise lot's of money for
